Call for Presenters
CALL FOR PRESENTERS -- Deadline: November 13, 2009
Participating in this exciting conference will give you an opportunity to share your most rewarding and effective ideas with colleagues.
Join with other Math Recovery teachers, leaders and mathematics educators interested in promoting research-based elementary mathematics teaching and learning experiences at the National Math Recovery Conference. The conference will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
We are extending this call to all those interested in presenting sessions for Math Recovery teachers, Math Recovery Leaders, school and district administrators whose responsibilities lie in creating research-based elementary mathematics programs, and university teachers who teach elementary pre-service and in-service teachers. The program will consist of sessions targeted for a variety of interests: teachers, leaders, administrators and those seeking more information about Math Recovery and research-based elementary math programs. We are also seeking presenters who would like to participate in a sharing session that highlights ideas or techniques that have worked with students in one-on-one Math Recovery sessions or in classroom settings.

You are invited to present a topic, activity, video clip(s), teaching technique, or research information that will extend the knowledge base of teachers of elementary mathematics (pre-school through 8th grade).
PERHAPS YOU HAVE:
- a video clip that highlights a technique or setting
- research information that has been helpful to you
- a lesson, setting, or resource that has been helpful to you and your students
- research-based curriculum materials or resources
- a successful idea that has improved student involvement in their own learning
- an idea or setting that meets students at their "zone of proximal development"
- information/ideas that capitalize on children's developmental thinking
- a video clip that prompted a question or concern
- experience with delivering and using Add+VantageMR and/or SNAP
- data to show the results of Math Recovery with your students and can share how Math Recovery is being implemented
- information to share about Math Recovery and Special Education
- ideas about Response to Intervention (RTI) implementation

FREE PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP FOR PRESENTERS
Conference presenters will have the opportunity to attend one pre-conference seminar on Tuesday, April 27 at no charge.
