Please note that this course is a fully virtual course for current MRIS Leaders only who wish to transition from facilitating MRIS to MRSp1. The cost is $3000 for those who are already MRIS Leaders. This course is not available to those new to MRSp1 Leader.

Course Details

The MR Leader course for Math Recovery^® Specialist Part 1 (MRSp1 Leader) engages participants in a year-long professional learning experience. This experience builds a high level of expertise in Math Recovery content and pedagogy in order to deliver and support the Math Recovery Specialist professional development courses in-district. In order to become a MRSp1 Leader, successful completion of Math Recovery Specialist, Part 1 (MRSp1) is required.

The MR Leader course for Math Recovery Specialist Part 1 (MRSp1 Leader) professional development experience consists of face-to-face training, monthly virtual cohort meetings, asynchronous learning opportunities, and on-going support for delivering an MRSp1 course. The MRSp1 Leader course will help support these course goals:

• Facilitate a Math Recovery Specialist, Part 1 (MRSp1) course that supports high-fidelity in course delivery intervention implementation, and the development of Math Recovery Specialists.
• Deepen Math Recovery content knowledge to support high-fidelity of the course content and goals of MRSp1
• Develop as a Math Recovery coaching to support the implementation of Math Recovery assessment and teaching
• Understand the foundations of Math Recovery^® and advocate for Math Recovery
• Engage in critical self-reflection on facilitating professional development and one's own content knowledge

Course cost is $5,500. The cost is $3,000 for current MRIS Leaders.
Space is limited. A spot in this course is only guaranteed after payment method has been submitted.

NOTE: Attendance in this course's virtual and face-to-face meetings is expected and required. Face-to-Face meetings are held at our training office in Eagan, MN.

*If USMRC is unable to offer the face-to-face meetings due to COVID restrictions alternate virtual meeting dates and times will be provided. This decision will be made no later than March 1, 2021. If you are a current MRIS Leader and interested in being updated to MRSp1 Leader, please contact Jenni (jennifer@mathrecovery.org) for more information.

REGISTER: (Individual or more than 1 from same district)

1. Each individual participating in the course should register in their own account through the blue Register button below.
2. Each participant can attach a copy of the PO (supplied by their district) or fill in credit card information. The PO should include registrant name(s), course ID# and date.
3. If paying with a credit card or PO for a group, call 952-491-9858.
   • Supply cc information, names of registrants, and Course ID# & date. During registration each participant should fill-in "cc-call-in" in the PO field, if registering with a group.
