The US Math Recovery Council® Large District AVMR Champion Award provides tuition assistance for 3 individuals from the same district to become Add+VantageMR® Champions.
This award helps support in district implementation and sustainability of Math Recovery® teaching principles. By having champions in your district, they are able to contribute to constructing 3-5 year district plans and Math Recovery® implementation.
Award winners will receive tuition expenses for the course of their choosing which includes: 5 days of face to face courses in Minnesota, 4 virtual support sessions, access to facilitator items and how to teach videos, and other materials. Please note, airfare and hotel stay is not covered in this award.
Who Should Apply?
A district that has at least 3 Individuals who have completed or will have completed Math Recovery® Intervention Specialist (MRIS) or Math Recovery® Specialist Part 1 (MRSp1) course work by Spring 2019 are eligible for this award.
Individuals must meet the following criteria, or their awards will not be considered:
- At least 3 individuals who have successfully completed Math Recovery® Intervention Specialist (MRIS) or Math Recovery® Specialist Part 1 (MRSp1) course work
- Narrative element - Applications can be no more than four pages in length
- Include an Administrator letter
