Large District AVMR Champion Award

The US Math Recovery Council® Large District AVMR Champion Award provides tuition assistance for 3 individuals from the same district to become Add+VantageMR® Champions.

This award helps support in district implementation and sustainability of Math Recovery® teaching principles. By having champions in your district, they are able to contribute to constructing 3-5 year district plans and Math Recovery® implementation.

Award winners will receive tuition expenses for the course of their choosing which includes: 5 days of face to face courses in Minnesota, 4 virtual support sessions, access to facilitator items and how to teach videos, and other materials. Please note, airfare, hotel stay, and meals are not covered in this award.

Who Should Apply?

A district that has at least 3 Individuals who have completed or will have completed the AVMR Champion prerequisite courses (AVMR 1, AVMR2, and MRIS/MRSp1) by Spring 2020 are eligible for this award.

Application Criteria

Individuals must meet the following criteria, or their awards will not be considered:

  1. At least 3 individuals who have successfully completed the AVMR Champion prerequisite courses (AVMR 1, AVMR2, and MRIS/MRSp1)
  2. Narrative element - Applications can be no more than four pages in length
  3. Include an Administrator letter

Please note: This award is for tuition assistance, not a full scholarship. Applicants/districts will be responsible for covering their own travel, hotel and meals.
