Course and Implementation Specialist

US Math Recovery Council® is dedicated to empowering educators to advance students’ mathematical thinking and success. Math Recovery transforms numeracy education through customized and unique systemic professional learning and resources with meaningful assessment and instruction.

We currently have an opening for a full-time Course and Implementation Specialist on the AVMR Team. This position has the option to work from a home office or from the USMRC office in Eagan, MN.

The Course and Implementation Specialist is responsible for the delivery of Math Recovery® courses and implementation support. In addition, this position contributes to the successful creation, development, and expansion of implementation support services for use by districts, schools and teachers to impact mathematics learning and teaching practices.

Essential Duties

  • Is responsible for delivery of high-quality professional development, coaching, implementation consultation and support in accordance with the mission and organizational strategic priorities.
  • Establishes relationships with districts, schools and teachers conducive to the learning and delivery of program including permission to video work.
  • Identifies and creates opportunities for specific target groups (schools, administrators, districts, teachers, para-professionals, and students) to engage with, respond to and implement the organization’s programs.
  • Maintains a high level of expertise in Math Recovery assessment, instruction, member support and implementation by staying current and refining knowledge of Math Recovery®, adult learning, coaching and math education research.
  • Works collaboratively with departments in the organization to carry out outreach efforts by being a champion of Math Recovery® principles through networking, outreach, building relationships and active engagement in accordance with the mission and strategic priorities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience working with delivery and implementation of Math Recovery courses and course content at the building and/or district level.
  • Five+ years related experience or equivalent combination in mathematics learning and teaching practices in a variety of educational settings

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This position requires a high level of commitment to the mission of US Math Recovery Council®. In addition to the following special skills:

  • In-depth understanding of Math Recovery® programs, including a current Math Recovery Specialist (MRSp) designation
  • Evidence of clear, accurate and effective written and verbal communication skills targeting a range of audiences
  • Evidence of clear, accurate and effective presentation skills in virtual, hybrid and in-person settings targeting a range of audiences
  • Position requires travel, and evening and weekend duties.

Senior Human Resources Generalist

US Math Recovery Council® (USMRC) is dedicated to empowering educators to advance students’ mathematical thinking and success. Math Recovery transforms numeracy education through customized and unique systemic professional learning and resources with meaningful assessment and instruction.

USMRC employs nearly 100 full- and part-time employees. Many of our staff members operate remotely, contributing their talents and expertise from locations across the United States.

We currently have an opening for a full-time Senior Human Resources Generalist. This position will office at the USMRC Headquarters in Eagan, MN.

The Senior Human Resources Generalist role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization while leveraging the support and expertise of third-party partnerships to enhance HR capabilities. The HR Generalist oversees and manages the daily human resource needs for the organization. Responsibilities include a wide range of HR functions, such as recruitment, employee relations, compensation, compliance, and general HR support.

Essential Duties

  • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future HR partnerships, talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement training programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to leadership team.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare HR-related documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, status tracking, and interview coordination.
  • Oversee and facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for employees.
  • Maintain complete employee files in accordance with best practice and appropriate laws.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
  • Support the performance management process.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Work closely with HR partners to ensure alignment and consistency in HR processes and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least three years human resource management experience required.
  • Familiarity with PEO processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with external HR service providers.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP) preferred.
