Why Should I Apply?

Add+VantageMR® Course 1 (AVMR 1) supports elementary educators in diagnosing and advancing student understanding and numeracy development. Participants leave the course ready to work with students and implement new knowledge in their assessment and teaching practices to meet the needs of a diverse range of students. While content within AVMR 1 addresses elementary mathematics content, educators of all grade levels have found the course beneficial for identifying what students know and what instruction is likely to advance students' knowledge.

Who Should Apply?

The Add+VantageMR® Exploratory Award is meant to benefit a school that is not currently implementing any Math Recovery® programs. Any educator is welcome to apply, including but not limited to, the following:

  • classroom teachers
  • special education teachers
  • math interventionists
  • math coaches
  • para-educators
  • building and district administrators

Applications can be submitted individually or as a group if more than one educator from your school would like to attend.

Application Deadline: End of day, Sunday, December 8, 2022

Course Expectations: Participants must commit to attend all 8 Add+VantageMR® course sessions, actively participate in sessions, and complete all assignments. Participants must have their own dedicated space and computer for the online, interactive course sessions.
