Math Champs Department Director

US Math Recovery Council® is dedicated to empowering educators to advance students’ mathematical thinking and success. Math Recovery transforms numeracy education through customized and unique systemic professional learning and resources with meaningful assessment and instruction.

We currently have an opening for a full-time Math Champs Director. This position has the option to work from a home office or from the USMRC office in Eagan, MN.

The Math Champs Director is responsible for the planning, direction, and oversight of the Math Champs department.

This position is a leadership position that requires visioning, leading others, managing culture, managing change, solving problems, and making decisions. The position also requires effective teamwork with the other departments in the organization.

Essential Duties
  • Key contributor to the strategic planning process for the overall organization. Works directly with the director team to establish and implement short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Implementation departments to support strategies for sustainable implementation efforts using Math Recovery services and products.
  • Build upon the current Math Champs service to meet the needs of today’s students, educators, and educational systems; advancing student achievement and developing strategies to support collaboration between Math Champs service and Tier 1 instruction.
  • Oversee and ensure the efficient running of daily operations pertaining to stakeholder communication, scheduling, reporting, and evaluation of Math Champs service.
  • Develop and coordinate learning experiences for full and part-time Math Champ instructors in Math Recovery assessment and pedagogy; support high quality virtual and face-to-face 1:1 and small group instruction.
  • Develop and manage an annual budget and operational metrics.
  • Develop and manage a positive, team focused culture and establish relationships with members, clients, and community partners.
  • Ensure that the appropriate systems, staffing, and procedures are in place to properly and reasonably support Math Champs services. Work with team members removing roadblocks and helping employees achieve excellence.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in an education related field
  • 5+ years of experience leading the implementation of educational services
  • Experience using educational programs with students and teachers
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of K-12 educational structures and the variety of K-12 education entities
  • Experience planning and implementing educational services and product implementations at scale
  • Supervisory and leadership skills
  • Analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Able to travel as needed

Education Materials Production Specialist

US Math Recovery Council (USMRC) is dedicated to empowering educators to advance students’ mathematical thinking and success. Math Recovery transforms numeracy education through customized and unique professional learning with meaningful assessment and instruction.

We currently have an opening for a full-time Production Specialist in our Eagan, MN office. The Production Specialist is responsible for the daily activities of producing and handling finished educational and instructional materials. The Production Specialist will receive product, build educational kits, fulfill customer kit and store orders, conduct inventory and quality checks, prepare items for shipping, and maintain warehouse & build room efficiencies and cleanliness.

Essential Duties
  • Assembles teaching materials and training kits with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proactively works to ensure timely product ordering, accurate receivables, and efficient storage of goods.
  • Ongoing and timely fulfillment and shipment of orders.
  • Accurately receives incoming product shipments for all department and prepare documents for system receiving and processing.
  • Schedules and receives customer returns as needed.
  • Maintains an accurate product inventory count, keeping enough stock on hand to meet minimum safety stock levels.
  • Conducts spot-checks of inventory and assists with quarterly and annual inventory count audit.
  • Maintains organized, efficient, and clean work areas, including clearly labeled, user-friendly product storage tubs and shelving.
  • Monitors emails and assists customers with store orders as needed.
  • Assists with data collection and development of departmental written policies and procedure documents.
  • Maintains organized filing systems & office materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum of high school diploma; some college degree
  • Two plus years or equivalent experience working in a detailed oriented position
  • Experience with shipping, inventory and/or production
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive
  • Proficiency in computer programs for database, email, internet and use of photocopy equipment
  • Must have strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a team and interact well with delivery drivers and stakeholders
  • Must be able to juggle and prioritize a variety of tasks at one time.
  • Must be able to operate in a general office environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be comfortable on approved stepladders
  • Must learn and be comfortable with drivable order picker raised at 15’ high
  • Position requires high degree of manual dexterity and standing for long periods
  • May require occasional nights or weekends

Education Materials Production Assistant

We currently have an opening for either a part-time or full-time Education Materials Production Assistant in our Eagan, MN office. The Production Assistant is responsible for supporting the production, assembly, receiving, storage, and shipments of educational materials within the daily activities of USMRC business needs.

Essential Duties
  • Supports the assembly and sub-assembly of all educational materials with excellent accuracy and attention to detail, while meeting quality metric standards.
  • Receives and unloads incoming vendor products, verifying and documenting accurate inventory counts on paperwork for system updates, and efficient & timely product storage.
  • Accurately prepares and packages course materials and educational products in fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Assists with maintaining accurate daily detailed inventory measures, ensuring enough stock on hand to meet minimum safety stock levels.
  • Assists with quarterly and annual inventory count.
  • Performs daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks to maintain clean and efficient work areas to meet safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
  • Creates documents and printing materials as needed for educational material preparation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma; prefer some college education and/or office/production/assembly experience
  • Previous experience in detailed oriented positions, production, shipping, and/or inventory experience
  • Knowledge in Microsoft365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable on approved stepladders
  • Must learn and be comfortable with drivable order picker raised at 15 feet high
  • Position requires a high degree of manual dexterity and standing for long periods
