Course and Implementation Specialist

US Math Recovery Council® is dedicated to overseeing and managing Math Recovery® services and its materials, methodology, and related intellectual properties in the United States.

We are currently seeking applications for full and part-time Course and Implementation Specialist positions to contribute to the delivery and support of Math Recovery® sponsored courses. Face-to-face and virtual delivery options are available. This position has the option to work from a home-office or from the USMRC office in Eagan, MN.

Duties
  • Is responsible for delivery of high quality Math Recovery® professional development, coaching, consultation and implementation support in accordance with USMRC mission and strategic priorities.
  • Actively collaborates and is an effective and flexible team member within USMRC and the its Implementation Services team.
  • Maintains a high level of expertise in Math Recovery® theory, assessment, instruction, member support and implementation by staying current with all Math Recovery® offerings, adult learning, coaching and math education research.
  • Is willing and able to establish and maintain relationships with educational organizations and individuals, including the support of sustained implementations and the promotion of USMRC mission and vision.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Five or more years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in mathematics learning and teaching.
  • Reliable high-speed internet
  • Sincere commitment to work collaboratively, as well as independently, with staff, program participants, and other supporters.
  • Demonstrates willingness to learn and knowledge and skills with technology, for example, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, online meeting software, and basic video recording and editing.
  • Demonstrates outstanding facilitation, written and verbal skills necessary to perform all aspects of the position.
  • Positions with an emphasis in Face-to-face delivery will require up to 50% travel.

Learning and Design Specialist

US Math Recovery Council® is dedicated to empowering educators to advance students’ mathematical thinking and success. Math Recovery transforms numeracy education through customized and unique professional learning with meaningful assessment and instruction.

We currently have an opening for a full-time Design and Learning Specialist position. This position has the option to work from a home office or from the USMRC office in Eagan, MN.

Duties
  • Contribute to the development for new and revised core professional development programs.
  • Deliver professional development during development phases.
  • Develop synchronous and asynchronous learning experience for teachers to support Math Recovery implementation.
  • Write and develop instructional resources for teachers to support math instruction.
  • Support the management of projects with the organizational project management process.
  • Contribute to research, testing, evaluation, and development strategies that lead to effective product and program design.
  • Establish relationships with educational settings to support development, including permission to video work.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Current teaching license.
  • Three+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in mathematics learning and teaching practices or related activities.
  • Sincere commitment to work collaboratively, as well as independently, with staff, program participants, and other supporters.
  • Interest and/or experience working with technology for educational purposes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with strong grammar skills.
  • Reliable, high-speed internet.

Math Recovery Specialist

US Math Recovery Council® is dedicated to empowering educators to advance students’ mathematical thinking and success. Math Recovery transforms numeracy education through customized and unique professional learning with meaningful assessment and instruction.

Beginning April 2021, US Math Recovery Council is directly servicing students using the same meaningful assessment and instructional practices included in professional learning courses.

We are currently accepting applications for part-time Math Recovery Specialist positions to teach students using Math Recovery assessment and instruction pedagogical tools. This position has the option to work from a home-office or from the USMRC office in Eagan, MN with flexible work hours.

Duties
  • Foster and nurture relationships and maintain ongoing communication with student, families, schools, and USMRC
  • Apply Math Recovery specialist knowledge and tools to provide student services
  • Contribute to Math Recovery video collection
  • Data entry and record keeping
  • Technology – working in both face-to-face and virtual environments
  • Engage in regular professional learning and collaboration and coaching
  • Lesson preparation – watching and reflection video, lesson plans, etc. - meeting the learning needs of students
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Current teaching license.
  • Math Recovery® Intervention Specialist (MRIS) or Math Recovery Specialist, part 1 certification. Currently enrolled in a course is acceptable.
  • One+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in mathematics learning and teaching practices or related activities.
  • Sincere commitment to work collaboratively, as well as independently, with staff, program participants, and other supporters.
  • Interest and/or experience working with technology for educational purposes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with strong grammar skills.
Additional information
  • Applicants with additional licensures such as Special Education, ELL and middle school are encouraged to apply.
  • Scheduling is based on district need and availability. This is an hourly position with options for scheduling 8-40 hours per week.
  • This is a new service. USMC desires to onboard a team of Math Recovery Specialists to meet district demand. We will provide training for interested educators. Servicing students begins after completion of MRSp1 course days.
