Client Support and Sales Specialist

We currently have an opening for a full-time Client Support and Sales Specialist.

The Client Support and Sales Specialist ensures effective communications and processes with clients and staff to progress through the inquiry request for services or products through follow-up after course completion. In accordance with the mission statement, the Client Support and Sales Specialist helps others understand the range and purpose of USMRC products and services available to empower educators to advance student mathematical thinking and success.

This position has the option to work from a home-office or from the USMRC office in Eagan, MN.

Essential Duties
  • Contributes to the development, implementation, and evaluation of department goals.
  • Networks and builds relationships with new and potential clients and external agencies, while maintaining fidelity to Math Recovery® principles.
  • Maintains an essential knowledge of USMRC products, services, and pricing.
  • Maintains an overall understanding of USMRC sales, communications, and outreach with a focus on meeting audience needs.
  • Seeks and maintains up-to-date knowledge of educational trends, policies, and funding sources.
  • Nurtures relationships and promotes sustainable implementation decision-making with clients, both new and returning.
  • Contributes to and supports promotional events.
  • Works collaboratively to ensure accurate and appropriate communications, both internally and externally.
  • Problem-solves and refines internal day-to-day processes and procedures.
  • Collects, organizes, analyzes, and reports sales and communications data to ensure a focus on meeting client needs.
  • Contributes to the development of marketing campaigns.
  • Contributes to and supports skill development and knowledge development within the Communications Team.
  • Other duties as assigned
Special Skills

This position requires a high level of commitment to the mission of US Math Recovery Council, in addition to the following special skills:

  • Knowledge of Math Recovery® programs, including a current MRSp certification
  • Evidence of clear, accurate and effective written and verbal communication skills targeting a range of audiences
  • Evidence of clear, accurate and effective presentation skills in virtual, hybrid and in-person settings targeting a range of audiences
  • Evidence of on-going learning
Requirements
  • BA, BS, or equivalent experience
  • Certification as Math Recovery® Specialist
  • Experience implementing Math Recovery® Specialist and/or Add+VantageMR® Course1/Course2 content at the building level
  • 3+ years related experience or equivalent combination in mathematics learning and teaching practices in educational settings
  • High-speed internet and a dedicated and distraction free space
  • Position involves travel, and some evening and weekend duties

Math Champs Instructor

US Math Recovery Council® is dedicated to empowering educators to advance students’ mathematical thinking and success. Math Recovery transforms numeracy education through customized and unique professional learning with meaningful assessment and instruction.

US Math Recovery Council is directly servicing students using the same meaningful assessment and instructional practices included in our professional learning courses.

We currently have immediate openings for part-time or full-time Math Champs Instructor positions to teach students using Math Recovery assessment and instruction pedagogical tools. This position has the option to work from a home-office or from the USMRC office in Eagan, MN with flexible work hours. Duties are as follows:

Essential Duties
  • Foster and nurture relationships and maintain ongoing communication with students, families, schools and USMRC
  • Apply Math Recovery specialist knowledge and tools to provide student services
  • Data entry and record keeping
  • Technology – working in virtual environments
  • Engage in regular professional learning and collaboration and coaching
  • Lesson preparation – watching and reflecting on lesson recordings, lesson planning, etc. - meeting the learning needs of students
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years enrolled in a teacher certification program.
  • One+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in learning and teaching practices or related activities.
  • Sincere commitment to work collaboratively, as well as independently, with staff, program participants, and other supporters.
  • Interest and/or experience working with technology for educational purposes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with strong grammar skills.
Additional Information
  • High-speed internet and a dedicated and distraction free space are required.
  • Scheduling is based on district need and availability. This is an hourly position with options for scheduling 8-40 hours per week. Benefits eligible at 30+ hours per week.
  • Compensation ranges from $20 - $38 per hour

Office Administrator

We currently have a full-time opening for an Office Administrator in our Eagan, MN office. The Office Administrator is responsible for performing numerous clerical and administrative duties to support all functions of the Operations Department including customer service support, accounts receivable and payable transactions and reporting, and efficient physical functions of the office to keep USMRC business operations running smoothly.

Essential Duties
  • Operations – Performs a variety of administrative duties to support finance, production, IT, Human Resources, and Operations. Assists with scheduling department meetings, creating agendas, and recording minutes. Coordinates department communication, files, and resources. Responsible for general HR activities (onboarding/offboarding, communication & liaison to staff questions) and for general IT triage (equipment ordering, maintaining databases & equipment storage, and staff-to-consultant communication liaison).
  • Customer Service – Contributes to effective communication with customers and team members. Supports & assists customers with order processes, Q & A, and membership assistance. Responds to, problem-solves, and resolves customer issues.
  • Order Processing – Monitors and maintains online customer service order tracking system, answers customer order emails & phone calls, receives and processes customer orders & payments, maintains, updates and reports on inventory metrics.
  • Finance Support – Supports accounts payable and accounts receivable, processing customer sales orders, invoices, and vendor receipts. Assists with annual inventory audit counts and reporting, and other accounting reporting as requested.
  • Facilities Support – Purchasing and maintaining office supplies, cleaning supplies, office equipment, and IT equipment. Research and maintain contracts, and liaison to outside facility vendors, including landlord and external consultants for office space. Track and maintain miscellaneous filing/database systems.
  • Event Support – Oversees office preparation for face-to-face meetings and trainings, including pre-ordering supplies & food, room set-up, and any additional needs before, during, and after the onsite event.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent office experience
  • Prior experience in an office setting
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other office management tools/application
  • Familiarity with common procedures and basic accounting principle
  • Experience with working in a team environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for in person, writing, and over the phone
  • Effectively prioritize responsibilities to handle a variety of tasks
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs used for databases, spreadsheets, email, internet, and the use of office equipment
  • Proven skills organizing, communicating, leading, and creating processes
  • Experience dealing with people, remaining calm under pressure, and building relationships
