Are you a teacher needing research-based ideas to help your students develop mental strategies for regrouping? Join us as we pinpoint the foundational knowledge needed for students to successfully add and subtract with conceptual understanding through relational thinking. In this session, experience hands-on instructional activities using ten frames and the 100-bead rack. We will explore the roles structuring numbers and conceptual place value play when developing mental computations needed for addition and subtraction with regrouping. Leave with some inspirational ideas!
